Phil Van Horn
Phil brings to Align’s clients years of experience in management, leadership, education and community service. He has educational and practical expertise in the areas of board development, team building, strategic planning and leadership. His article, “Avoiding Board Traps,” is published in the 2007 edition of the Pfeiffer Annual of Consulting. He holds a BA is psychology from Westminster College and M.Ed. from the University of Missouri.
Mona Lee Pearl
Mona enjoys all aspects of planning, consulting and training; and practices them from the perspective of years of management and leadership experience. She also enjoys public speaking. She has a BA in communication studies from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and an MS in management from Lesley University
Brittany Ashby
Brittany came to Align when it started, bringing education and experience that make her invaluable to Align’s clients. With a passion for working with nonprofit organizations, her resume includes employment in the University of Northern Colorado Development Office and at the prestigious El Pomar Foundation in Colorado. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Colorado at Boulder; and she holds an MS from the University of Wyoming in adult education and learning technologies
Jody Shields
Jody has vast experience in strategic planning, project management, marketing and public relations in the nonprofit and healthcare fields. She works with a diverse array of clients and has a deep passion for helping nonprofits build capacity to fulfill their missions. Jody holds a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation and tourism management from Arizona State University, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in strategic leadership through Black Hills State University.
Kathy Cathcart
Kathy has worked with Align since it started. In fact, she helped map it all out and ensure it operated smoothly on Day 1. She relishes spending time helping others plot out and implement efficient procedures, using input from all stakeholders. Give Kathy a pile of colorful sticky notes and she will let you visualize your current process and the process that would be more efficient. Kathy is an Align executive who, in addition to process mapping skills, is also adept at facilitation and training. She has an undergraduate degree in Management Human Resources from Park University.
Sherry Salmon
Sherry is steeped in leadership, management and marketing experience, with emphasis in financial services and education services and has won awards for her service to others. She is a sought-after teacher, facilitator and researcher. Sherry holds an associate’s degree in journalism from Laramie County Community College; and she received her BS degree in management from Park University.
Bill Benskin
Bill is a CPA who has practiced corporate finance for almost 30 years. He designs accounting systems to monitor performance, manages investments and oversees financial and tax reporting to outside entities. Besides all that, Bill can explain the ever-changing and often complex accounting rules in terms that are understandable for even the greenest neophyte.Bill is Wyoming born and bred. His degree is from the University of Wyoming.
Sue Frerich
Sue is a teacher at heart. She has not only spent years in the classroom but has also assisted in developing management training programs, new employee orientation, and a video product fair for internal staff education. Along with her classroom time teaching English and reading, Sue has experience in customer service, client relations and business systems support. Sue has a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland College, holds a certificate in Management from Mountain States Employer’s Council, and has had formal training in Project Management.
